Score: Taverham FC 9-5 Mundesley

Report:

Hi all, have not done match reports for some time and will do a season report later but had to write this up as a) it was our last game of the season and b) it was such a great game of football.

The boys took the field knowing that a win by at least 3 clear goals would secure 4th place in the league Jack B was captain for the match after picking up man of the match for the last game 3-3 draw against mundesley.

Things seem to be going well and after 5 minutes we took the lead through samuel with Mundesley to come back 2 minutes later with an equaliser.

Jordan then restored our lead with a tap in at the far post for mundesley again to reply to make it 2-2 and this is how it stood until 5 minutes before the end of the first half. Mundesley then scored a free kick and another with seconds before the half time whistle to go in 4- 2 up.

I could have had a real go at the boys but they played so well for 30 minutes i told them to keep their heads and keep doing what they were doing, this was rewarded 5 minutes into the second half by mikey who beat most of the mundesley team on his way to the goal before slotting it in just inside the box.

We then had a penalty which samuel converted to make it 4-4 , mundesley then hit back again!! to make it 4- 5 but we finished the half off with a goal each from samuel and mikey plus one from george, Jack b and sam.

What a way to finish the season. Full time 9-5.
