Award for Taverham FC:
Our club was recently presented with the prestigious Charter Standard Community Club of the year award at the Norfolk County FA annual awards ceremony. This award reflects the hard work put in by everyone connected with the club. The ceremony was held at the new County FA FDC Centre in August and was attended by all from County FA as well as former Norwich City and England striker Dean Ashton, who presented the awards.

Club Website:
This has been re-designed to make it a little easier for you all to use and for us to update. It contains lots of new information on each team with photos, reports, news articles etc .. We had in excess of 300 hits in the first 4 days which is great news. We are also hoping to attract some new sponsorship for the site, if you or your company are interested contact us via the home page .. give us a look at www.taverhamfc.net

Hinks Meadow:
Unfortunately we had to take the difficult decision to delay the opening of Hinks Meadow by a further season. The exceptionally dry spring and early summer came at the worst time for us with the young grass unable to survive week after week without rain and temperatures in the late 20's. The grass has now made up for some lost time thanks to a wet August. Overseeding is planned for September which will bring us back on track for early 2011. Watch this space.

Club Secretary:
We are currently scouring the parish for a new Club Secretary .. Christine, who held this position within the club for many years retired at the end of the 2009/10 season. The role involves some administrative work, mainly liasing between our team managers and Norfolk County FA. It can be very rewarding to give something back to your local community, if you are interested please call Club Chairman John Bishop on 01603 864324 to discuss further.

Under 15's Racenight:
Our under 15's have set the date for another Race Night to raise much needed funds for their squad. If last years event is anything to go by this is one not to miss !! The event will be held on Saturday 16th October at East Tuddenham village hall. Tickets are £7pp. Check out our website for more information.

Last but not least .. Good luck to each and everyone of our 20 squads this season .. we are off and running once more !!
