Score: Taverham Tigers 1-8 Toftwood

Hi all, on a beautiful Sunday morning the Taverham tigers had their second league match of the season, and to be honest after last week i didn't exactly know what to expect, I had a full squad to choose from with the exception of Tom?

Sam Nicholson made his debut in goal and with very little training or match practice put in, a fantastic performance i think as the season progresses he will turn into a fine keeper.

Our two defenders today Max and Fraser both put in a solid game, nice to see some communication there between the back three, something that didn't happen last week. Our midfield trio of Daniel Stevens Danny Shepherd and Elliott are starting to show a lot of promise, i must have a special mention for Elliott today who didn't have the best of games last week, he showed great character to not only come back but to put on a terrific midfield display.

Kyle was the full time forward today and ran his socks of for the team and on any other day would have scored more than the one he did. My two subs were George & Harry, who both done what was asked of them.

George played both defence and midfield today and done well, Harry was told to go out and be a nuisance which he also done very well.

Although the lads lost 8-1, that score in no way reflected the game with Taverham hitting the bar twice, the post once and two off the line. The signs are there and with a bit of luck (which we didn't have today), the tigers can start to turn their season around.
