Score: Taverham 3-0 Mulbarton

Report:

A lovely morning for a game of football.

Taverham hosted Mulbarton with the view to going top of the league if other results go our way. The boys got off to a good start in dominating most of the play but still getting caught on the counter time after time. Thanks to good stops from Arly kept it evens. Then after some good play, Pierce hit a lovely strike from about 15 yards top corner! Great goal to get us off the mark.

That made the boys confidence sky high and started to move the ball about nicely. Not long before half time Ben hit a cross/shot that went through the goal keepers arms to make it 2-0. I personally thought it was a shot but Ben admitted it was a cross bless him.

Second half started ok with Mulbarton trying to get back into the game but again good goal keeping and also really good performance from JT and Rio ( Who seem to be developing a good understanding with each other) kept Mulbarton out. Reece made it 3-0 after Pierce played a lovely ball over the top of the defence putting him through one on one with the keeper and slotted it past him into the bottom corner.

Final score ended 3-0 Taverham and with other results going our way, we went top of the league.

Very good performance as a team and also individually AJ
